| Method Grab |
The Toeside Frontside 180 is one of the most important tricks in wakeboarding. It is an essential building block to learning all kinds of toeside spins and inverts where you start riding in your regular stance and land switch. Besides being a building block, the TS Frontside 180 can be grabbed and tweaked in many ways to add your own style. In this trick example, our rider adds a frontside grab to his TS Frontside 180.

Approach the wake with a strong enough edge to clear both wakes. It's easiest to learn this trick by landing on the downside of the second wake, instead of landing in the flats. |
Think about popping up high as you stand tall off the top of the wake. Keep the handle in tight to your hips, and as you pop get your eyes towards the shore you're heading towards. |
As you're at the peak of your height, reach down with your back hand, and grab the board solidly in between your feet on your toeside edge. Try boning out the board or straightening your legs after you get the grab for extra style. |
As you're coming down, let go of the board and pass the handle to the hand that was grabbing the board. Pull the handle to your back hip to finish off the 180, as that back hip becomes your new front hip. |
Land and bend your knees to absorb the landing, while edging away from the boat on your toeside edge. A lot of people have a hard time landing switch at first, so try concentrating on landing with your weight evenly on both feet. |
