All and indicators for left and right hands assume left foot forward (regular-footed). Tips are phrased to avoid confusion for right foot forward (goofy-footed) riders.

The hand closest to the nose or forward tip of the board will be referred to as the leading, front or forward hand. The hand closest to the tail or back tip of the board will be referred to as the trailing, rear or back hand.
